I was doing less than 10mph over and the cop claims to have gotten me at 23 over. I could go on and on about how wronged I was but I'll readily admit that if I wasn't speeding, I wouldn't have been ticketed.

In New York they are not required to show video evidence but casting doubt on the gun calibrations can bring it.
Usually the firm I hired gets no points but the cops in my small town basically have nothing to do (very safe, exceedingly low crime rate, and there is a state trooper outpost within the town that takes care of anything that matters) so they are bored and always show up to the court.
New York state judges also tend to ignore radar guns being slightly out of calibration. It's total horseshit but, is what it is.
