I don't have any friends or family, so a coupe worked just fine for me. Driver's side had a suicide 3rd door which was convenient for putting things in the back and not having to move the driver's seat.

The sedan/coupe layout is arguably the worst compared to any hatchback variation.
S-Class Coupe.
I think it depends on the car. For example, I really like the civic si in sedan form, while I prefer the M3 in coupe.
