>>

its got no accidents and has been maintained very well according to the car fax. It hasnt had any major repairs for the past 83 k miles only oil changes and break pads
>>
>>14764401
>old Saab
>first car
>18 years old
Your broke ass is going to get fucked by repair costs. Saabs and anything European is generally overpriced and unreliable.
>>
>>14764651
its a 2007?
not that old
>>
>>14764401
Get a Scion tC.

I have a 2006 aero
It's been the most reliable car I have had to date and currently has 180k on it with a jze tune.

I think they are wonderful cars

*jzw tune
But yeah saabs are great cars and have decent tuning potential.
GM era saabs are benefit from easier to find parts and cheaper repairs
>>
>>14764401

Get a 9-2 Aero. Its a WRX
>>
I'm also a paid Saab shill
>>
I want an 06+ Saab for highway driving, should I just get a 9-5?

Where did you read it?

If the car is maintained well, it won't need any major repairs anytime soon.
1997 900 owner here. That car is a tank. Also my first car. Bought it from second owner. He was an old German guy. It has maintained and loved really good and I will try to do the same.

>>14764401
It is yours or you are thinking about it? And what engine?
The 2003-2007 (pre-facelift) is my favorite 9-3 design. Also the car has really good safety ratings. These cars have saved lives.

>>14765238
Get the 2.3T aero. It will be perfect for highway.
>>
what kind of lifestyles do saab owners lead,
>>
>>14765341
Almost all of them are well educated and most of them are architects. Except those who aren't. kek
But these are the oldest Saab owner stereotypes.
>>14765328
This guy a musician. He likes to travel. Lately he is wasting his time too much on 4chan. Besides Saabs he also likes Porsches and mostly classic cars.

Not a bad choice! If you've got a Carfax, you're in pretty good position. It's got fewer quirks than some other Saabs but still provides for a nice experience. It's also REALLY good for insurance, because small displacement, four doors, and all kinds of safety features. How much is being asked for it?

>>14765238
Get the Aero if you want to feel like you're flooring it with just a little bit of throttle, get the 2.3T for a bit less lurch, get the V6 if you want the smoothest cruising possible but don't mind LPTs and limited tuning potential.

>>14765341
I'm a musician that's been stuck working retail 40 miles from where I live because of situations. Means I get to drive my 9-5 more. With pretty much all Saabs, the myth of "unreliability" is one generated by GM and by people that couldn't handle some of the quirks, but once you get past those they're well worth everything because Saabs are these magical vehicles that the more I analyze them the more I realize how wasteful and awful their demise was.

But what would a Snaab like me know?
>>
>>14765548
>myth of "unreliability"
I was wondering where does it come from when I'm thinking just the opposite.
>>
>>14765608
I often say that it's a thing that GM would cultivate out of spite, and in some ways it was, but before they were in the picture it was people that weren't used to the way Saabs were put together complaining about stuff like turbo failure and engine management.
>>
>>14765652
Yes. And always these annoying
>expensive
>unreliable
>crazy expensive
>weird
>hurr durr dur
Just ..it's not a car for you, ok? Go drive whatever you like and don't talk about stuff you don't know anything about.

And you just commented picture I posted on this other thread. lel
The interior is the only car's design that I like about it (the newest 9-5).
>>
>>14764998
Nice car, man. I wonder if the OP anon is looking for aero as well. Because why wouldn't you?
>>
>>14765776
It might just be me being a sucker for the shape, but the NG9-5 is very pleasurable in many, many ways. Especially with XWD (because proprietary AWD) and a turbo'd V6. And those lines. Just everything. Wowz.
>>
>>14764998
Where can I get those rims, my dude?
>>
>>14765024
but paid by who?

>>14764401
are you self reliant enough to work on it yourself and find solutions to problems are will you be relying on a garage to fix it should something go wrong? If you are relying on a garage is there a saab garage or saab mechanic near by.

By the time the 9-3NGs were out there were quite a few similarities with other GM products, the 9-3 uses an l850 series engine. However there are still quite a few unique things, such as engine management system, which could baffle the average mechanic. The 2.0T is a very good car, i would not get the 2.0t (lower t), and would be cautious about the 2.6 aero.

I picked up a 9-5 aero with 120k miles in near perfect condition for 800 bucks because 'nobody' could get it running. All it needed was new ignition cassette. IT was throwing a code for CPS, camshaft position sensor. It doesn't have a camshaft position sensor so the garage replaced the crankshaft, ecu, then the owner gave up.

Thanks, Saabro. Looking at getting a 9-3 soon.
>>
>>14764651
>anything European is generally overpriced and unreliable.

are you retarded?
>>
>>14766208
I'm not a fan of new cars in general. My perfect Saab is the spg. For me the exterior of NG9-5 seems too round'ish, big and bold. For the first time it seems that the Opel version of the car doesn't seem so different in shape. They actually look related.
>>
>>14771637
I would definitely prefer the Saab tho. The interior alone is worth it.
>>
get the 2.0t for the ssssssss
unfortunately no pishhhh or tsutsutsutsutsu
>>
>>14771656
The Aero has pssshhhhh
>>

awww, mine just goes ssssss and backs off slowly, even in sport mode
>>

I don't hear any silly noises on mine. It just takes off.
>>
They're killer cars to drive in, so long as you/your parents know a competent mechanic who will work on the car and you're happy paying them.

In my opinion they're not as bad as Audi and BMW stuff for being expensive to maintain but they are simply a pain in the ass to work on, not everything is stupid mind you...just most if it.
>>
>>14764998
That looks great, wouldn't mind having one as a daily in the future.
>>
>>14764401
Youll get fucked on insurance boss.
>>
>>14772465
And why?
