Yeah the 4-2-1 headers from factory are specially designed to keep the engine from knocking.
With a 14:1 compression ratio the mazda's skyactiv engine is a tuning no go.
You will probably see engine swapped miata's but the days of turbo miatas are gone.

The pistons are specially designed on the skyactiv as well, and the 86 has a 12.5:1 ration. Nowhere close to the 14:1 ratio on the skyactiv.

I'd really like to have one of these, but without a turbocharger. They should have dropped the turbo considering the goal was only 160hp in the first place. Now you'll have to replace or rebuild that turbo every 60,000-75,000 miles.
