It's regulated by the JGTC in Japan...not the FIA.
When they used to race internationally outside of Japan (3 countries) they had to follow FIA rules.

Super GT is run by the GT Association which sets the rules. The Super GT GT-Rs are carbon tub silhouettes and share absolutely nothing with the production GT-R

the FIA GT1 and GT3 GT-Rs are rwd because those are the rules stipulated.

In the 90s the GT Association changed the rules after Group A ended so that's why the JGTC cars were rwd when the R33 came about. The

JTCC however still followed Grp A and Grp N rules so awd GT-R still ran in that class

Imagine if old cars like the RX7 and R32-34 could be re-made exactly like it is now and nissan would just build them here or anywhere anyone wants to buy a retro GTR.

JGTC/Super GT has always pretty much done what they wanted. They're listed as a national championship, FIA doesn't tell them what to do.

Doubt it. All the skyline prices have been rising worldwide as they slowly enter other markets due to importation laws. In Australia R32 GTR's used to be had for around 13k a few years back, now your lucky to find something decent for under 20. It wont be long before the R33 starts to rise in price as they become legalised (And truth be told, they are a better car on paper than the R32) and the R34 GTR in turn.

Styling is subjective. I've driven both plenty of times and owned one, and can say the R33 GTR interior is by far a much nicer place to be than the R32 GTR. With the R32, you feel the need to apologise to your non car enthusiast friends as to why you insist on driving around in a plastic filled (yet still aesthetic for the 80's) noisy car.

Bad argument with the less races than the R32, as anyone who knows about Skyline history knows that the R33 never really had a competition to race in, as it pretty much all got shut down with the R32. The R33 had a much quicker nurburgring time for comparison. I can't be bothered to look it up at present, but feel free to do it for me. I hope you appreciated the reasoned reply, opposed to resorting to subjective facts.
