there is a company called quality1 in Switzerland. After a short check, they will offer you a full warranty for a few hundred CHF (including all electronic parts etc). On Italian cars, I wouldn't think twice. Do it.

I've driven an Alfa Romeo before. Driving them as long as they work is great. Everything inside there asks them to abuse it. But give the car enough time to warm up. Alfas are expecially fragile on that although you should do that with every brand.

If you're going to buy an alfa because some old bloke going through a middle age crisis told you're not a car enthusiast until you got one or something like that, then don't.
If you want to get an alfa because you like it as a car, and not for the brand whoring, then go for it. I would suggest the classic green color or the a pure white one if you're lucky to find one in these colors.

Don't listen to those neckbearded VW-lovers op! the Giulietta is an extreme reliable, well built and beautiful car. It is very sporty (much better than a Golf!) and has great engines. Especially the QV is awesome.

Just AVOID the Giulietta from the first, let's say 2 years, and you will find a nice model.
The lacks in interior finishing are compensated by the way better ride quality.
