Toyota's 2.5L has less HP. And is getting worse mpg.
The only things touching the Mazda 2.5 mpg are 1.5 to 2.0 liters making 155hp or less.
Hell. Even fords ecoboost 1.0 is barely over 40 mpg in manual form only and if you never touch boost and only makes like 120hp.
I'll take 185hp larger, safer, more reliable, better built, more comfy Mazda any day.
