I own neither but I've driven both. I'd take the S-class by simple virtue of the fact that it isn't the 7 series. Neither are truly "bad" cars. I'd still take a 7 series if it was offered to me, but the motherfucker is just too goddamn complex and "high-tech" for a luxury car.
