Not sure if old folks drive these but i really do want an S series Wagon.
One with the supercharged V6.
Could be a cool sleeper
>aftermarket for newer 91-96 cars works on it
>you can make them handle
>They can make power
>only 3600/3700 lbs, so fairly light for such a big car.

Test drove one of these a couple months ago. Had the pedal to floor and it wouldn't go over 30 on flat ground.
I've always wanted one of these. They just seem like a great cruiser
I own the Granny car that i wanted
anything with the L67 and swap out the supercharger with something from eaton and get massive torks
acura tl automatic
I own mine already :)
course I mean a 2nd gen Taurus look

Already got my granny car and my weekend car. The Avalon is great, got for a steal awhile back and it's been problem free for years now, even at 17 years old

there's a 99 avalon with 20,000 miles down the street from me
more expensive than i have right now but man
it's a brand new 18 year old car
>>14740410
Damn man that's a find right there, mine has 140k on it (second gen but they have the same engine) and its still perfect, Toyota really overbuilt these things. If I needed a reliable car I would buy that 99
I drive a 1987 Lincoln Town Car. I think that all the old farts who bought them new don't drive anymore and it's driven by younger blacks so it's no longer an old person's car tho
>>14740426
You'd be surprised, I deliver in Boca Raton, FL and many of the slightly less opulently wealthy geriatrics drive old town cars, avalons and buicks. My Avalon blends right in
Do Diamantes count? Comfy as hell, and reliable.

>shitsubishit
>reliable
Town Car
Park Avenue
Ford LTD
I drive a old man car too: Crown Vic.
Pretty much almost all of the cars I like are old people cars.
I bought a 99 avalon with 50k miles for $4500 usd
its such a nice car honestly. like another anon said brand new 18year old car
Always wanted a 1997 lincoln towncar. grandpa drove one and it was the nicest car i've ever been in. it was like driving a sofa
>>14740443
That old? Interesting
lincoln towncar/MGM/crown vic
most buick sedans
toyota avalon
whatever the top of the line volvo is called
Ford Panthers kick ass. It wouldn't be too hard to soup one up, would it? Same engine as the mustang and all
>>14737021
This or a regal gs.
>>14739373
Not at all a grandpa grandma car. Now it was just a normal grand marquis with some wheels or something we would be talking.
>went from a Skyline to this
grandpa cars are glorious for highway trips
>>14738552
Owned one for 3 years. Ran fine, engine was just tired. Dem auto seat belts, dat rpm-exempt guage cluster

Stop please.

But anon
I bought a 2012 Avalon with 13,000 miles a few months ago. Total old man's car.
My grandpa split his DD between a '98 DeVille and a '99 Continental. Both low mileage. Both meticulously maintained.
When he died in 2010, my folks traded them both in toward a fucking Ford Edge.
I still haven't forgiven them.
