So /o/, is the 2011 v6 mustang good? I'm thinking about getting a used one but I don't know if there's a better option.
>>
Depends

If this is a 2nd sporty car, hell no

Only car, not so bad...but a GT is not THAT much more $$

This desu

The v8
>>
>>14735539
Just get a brz you dumb cuck, get a bolt on supercharger if you're "hungry" for horsepower but don't get cucked into a >Ford v6
>>
>>14736092
Fuck off your slow ass brz, the V6 is faster and looks nicer.

OP don't listen to these fuck faces. I own a V6 camaro and the shit is cash. There is nothing wrong with a v6, most of these kids drive shitboxes and wish they could afford a v6
>>
>>14736065
What's wrong with the v6?

>>14735643
My budget is limited to about 12k dollar's which it's right where the 2011 or 2012 v6 sits though, plus I heard the v6 has a decent mpg taking its power into account.
I'm a side note, in having troubled funding a manual one.
>>
>>14736154
On a side note, I'm having trouble finding a manual one*
>>
>>14736154
They are great for a v6, putting down WHP like the 3v GTs from 05-09 body. That particular one looks very nice as well. I would tell ya to get a gt but I understand you have a hard price limit.

A good 2v from 99-04 could run similar with bolt ons cause it's lighter. Maybe 20 less whp, but about 100-200 less pounds and 300wtq. Oh, and they're a 3-6$k car. You could go in between, get a faster, cheaper, 03-04 mach. Or a 01 cobra. These cars hold their value very well and have good suspension stock.

lol@brz guy. Even a v6 dohc stang would destroy you.

And no, don't get a v6 and go the route of forced induction. 8$-10$k EXTRA for the power of a v8, except it'll be unreliable and ready to blow.
>>
2011 GT anon here, the V6 is pretty good post 2011. Definitely pair it up with the manual for a fun sporty get around car. It still has some of the handling issues it's bigger brother has. I suggest getting some good wheels and tires and some BMR LCAS and relocation brackets to get it to hook.
>>
>>14735539
proven to be slower than a 1998 gs400
>>
>>14735539

Look, if you absolutely NEED to be a faggot and drive a V6 mussel curr, don't get the fucking Mustang. The Challenger is the nicest, comfiest, and fastest six cylinder and it at least won't out you as being a cock gargler just by the merit of owning it.
>>
>>14735539
get it automatic and a covertible and you are good to go
>>
>>14736359
The challenger may be comfy, but it's definitely not the fastest. Although, I doubt OP is trying to win stop light drags cause otherwise he should just get the veeyate
>>
>>14736229
Faster in drag or track?
>>14736426
Tbf the v6 is pretty ok at that. 5.5 from 0 to 60 is an ok number.
>>
>>14735539
Get an older v8 model. You will always regret the v6.
>>
>>14736497
Why? The older models except for the special editions are slower and have worse MPG
>>
>>14736859
Because you have two fucking testicles do you not? Also I'm pretty sure the old V8s beat out the new V6s. I could be wrong, but even if that is the case you won't care with a decent exhaust installed.
>>
>>14736886
Yes i do plan to install a roush exhaust, those things have an amazing sound. The old v8 are almost equally as fast as the new v6, they are just a little bit faster but you can reach or surpass those with a simple change of gear ratios (the 2.7 that comes stock are extremely sloppy) in comparison with the 4.10 that the old ones have).

Just get an earlier v8. There's something lacking about v6 mustangs, even if they might be faster than an older v8.
>>
>>14736154
>hurr durr muh budget is limited to 12k
so wait until your can afford the v8 faggot.
>>
>>14736930
Idk what older v8 you're talking about but the s197 mustang had 3.31 gears for auto and 3.55 for manuals.
>>
>>14736993
Probably the SN-95, those had 3.27s.
>>
>>14737214
Damn and I thought I had tall gears. Next project is to go from 3.31 to 3.73.
>>
>>14737238
3.73 gear ratio is in my opinion the sweet spot.
>>
>>14737270
Agreed. I already have not so great mileage (comes with the territory I know) so it would still be a decent highway gear.
>>
>>14736940
What's the problem with that?
>>
>>14737317
It is faggotry of the highest grade. You arr literally no better than guys with fart can civics.
>>
>>14737238
Hell, foxbodies had 2.73s stock and 3.08 was the performance option.
>>
>>14736401
>get it automatic and a covertible and you are good to go
This OP, you either get a manual GT or a V6 convertible with automatic transmission.
>>
>>14737485
Damn. Guess they slowly have been upping the gearing as the cars got heavier.
>>
Ignore these idiots and go for the V6. You don't sound like you can afford to purchase, own and drive two cars at once, so the econoboxbox/racer dual combo is basically out the window. That means that this Mustang will basically be your daily driver. Present generation V6/Ecoboost Mustangs are faster than the original Boss 302 and even the 90s era Cobra, with far better fuel economy to boot. You can literally smoke 90s percent of the cars on the road, and do so affordably.

V6 vs V8
Pros:
Lower Price
Lower Insurance
Lower Fuel Cost
Cheaper Maintenance

Cons:
5.5 sec 0-60 is 1 whole second longer than the V8's 4.5 0-60.

You are trading ALL THOSE BENEFITS for 1 second. Think it through.
>>
>>14737573
Yeah, SN-95s aren't really that much heavier than late Foxes though.

>>14737587
Manual Track Pack V6s did it in 5.1s. Which basically matches a manual Challenger R/T.
>>
>>14737635
>>14737587
You know what, you guys are right about this one, I'm gonna try and find a track pack one and get it, didn't thought they were that fast!
Thanks a lot.
>>
>>14737694
Lol most of them don't have track packs
Like 99% of them don't have track packs
>>
>>14737814
And 70% of them are automatics, I'll try ;_;
>>
>>14737823
Even the base V6 with 2.73s is much faster than econoboxes, but the track pack is great. Gears, suspension and brake upgrades.

Yeah, but the worse part about trying to find a track or performance package is that normally you'll be able to tell a normal or premium v6 from a performance package one just by the rims, but nowadays everybody and their mother have those rims into their base/premium model mustangs and the vast majority of sellers are stupid enough to not post engine photos.
