Goddamn the M2 is seeming more and more likely to cause me to make a questionable financial decision in the near future. I have about 30k that I saved up while I was in college and didn't really want to spend more than 40k on a car but fuck the M2 looks so nice.
Was looking at cars like the Focus RS/Golf R before but I really don't need 4 doors and the focus interior really disappointed me. I have a decent job but insurance for a 22yr old male is scary and even with what I have saved it's about 475 a month car payment for 60 months.

BMWs are getting lighter thanks to the usage of carbon fibre on the frame. The curb weight for a 2016 BMW 730 is 1755 kg, which is even lighter than the RCF coupe (curb weight 1790kg) and the CTS V.
That curb weight for a full sized luxury sedan is quite an achievement.
Same goes for the other M cars - the M3 is lighter than the last gen E90 M3, the M4 is lighter than the E92 M3, the new M5 G30 will be lighter than the F10 M5 etc etc.
