Back then, citroen introduced the command satellites so that you could literally push all the buttons for driving without taking the hands off the wheel, and without searching for the stalk position either (after you got used to the layout). Next in priority was the hand brake, then the heater, then the radio, because after all you should be focusing on the driving.
