Are E30s expensive to maintain?
I know BMWs in general are money pits.
They are for the unemployed.
You're posting one with a Poland plate. If you live in Poland, it'll be pretty cheap, especially if you know how to work on a car.
Idk what's this fuss about BMWs being expensive to maintain. Every fucking bydlo has a BMW, including me.
Sometimes
As long as you don't get a convertible they're fine, older bmws were actually made to last. The whole meme of German engineering used to be that some German cars actually lasted 100k miles without having to rebuild everything.

BMW went down the shitter after the E36 as far as reliability and maintenance costs. Pre-E36 BMWs are solid, reliable cars and are generally quite cheap to maintain.
Yes, only because most of them will have some kind of serious corrosion problem or 25+ years of neglect and deferred maintenance
And the ones that don't are easily $5-8000, at that point you're better off getting a cheaper older E36 or a decent E36 M3 that'll likely need the same amount of work.
E30s are pretty easy to maintain. You can buy cheaper aftermarket parts, but OEM is costly. Any kind of job, part, or engine swap you want can be found online since so many people like E30s
the M20 is a great engine with decent enough power. Just keep up with oil change and do your timing belt.
