Any rotor is fine.

And good for you wanting to upgrade your brakes. So many faggots try for big gains and do nothing to their brakes, and brakes should be one of the first upgrades on any car.
>>
>>14725877
I think he's saying he had the factory Brembo upgrades.
>>
>>14725897
my brembos didnt come from the factory took them from a 350z
>>
>>14725877

A rotor is a rotor, make sure it's a blank rotor though because you'll pay less ricer tax

There was an optional Brembo brake upgrade kit on the G35. Just get those rotors, or the rotors from a 350Z Nismo. Should work.

>>
>>14726124
is this front and rear?
>>
>>14726171
One link is a front rotor/pad kit, the other is a rear rotor and pad kit, specifically for an 04 G35 with the Brembo brake package.

Depends on what you are doing with the car. If you are going for anything sporting (HPDE, AutoX, etc.) I would suggest Project Mu, or Girodisc. If just DD, maybe power stop.

what does /o/ think of wilwood

As long as the rotors are the same dimensions it should be good, but if you are going from a normal brake set to brembos, chances are they're not, very few cars come with rotors that huge.
>>
>>14725863

i enjoy brenbro very gud for stop time yes
>>
>>14725877
unless you track your car, brakes are a useless upgrade. Tires are what stops your car

K E K a family member recommended me one of these never been so disappointed
>>
>>14726368
it's true tho. if your brakes can lock your tires up, the only thing that is going to improve your stopping distance is better tires.
>>
>>14726318
Great products, well-priced, and great performing
>>
>>14726318
G-LOC seems pretty new to the market
it will be interesting how their products turn out
>>
>>14726384
By that logic everyone should have drum brakes on all 4 corners then
>>
>>14726458
Not necessarily, he's kinda got a point. you want your brakes to slow the car effectively, ie regular disk brakes over drums. But not to the point that they just lock up the wheels, like what could happen with upgraded brakes but less than good traction.

Have an Audi A4 I use for shitbox duty

Preferece is for Zimmerman rotors, followed by ATE

You didn't mention pads, but I really like Akebono European-spec ceramics. Stop great and low dust.

>>
>>14726701
exactly, just before lock up is where the car is going to stop the fastest, whether it's brembos or stock calipers squeezing the rotor makes no difference. if you don't track your car, brakes are a dumb upgrade.
>>
>>14726725
If you have ABS, doesn't that negate your primary criticism?
>>
>>14726733
Did you not even read my last post?
>>
>>14726758
do you even know how ABS works?
>>
>>14726767
Let me break it down as much as I can for you.
ABS will attempt to keep the tires from locking up.
Brembos will lock up your tires.
Stock calipers will lock up your tires.
If ABS is activating, you are already at maximum stopping power.
Brembos will activate ABS.
Stock calipers will activate ABS.
There will be no difference in stopping distance.
Get better tires, and the point at which your tires lock up will increase, because there is more friction between the tire and the road. Once the friction between your pads and rotor is greater than the friction between the tire and road, the tire will lock up.
Brembos with stock tires will take longer to stop than stock calipers with better tires.
>>
>>14726787
Your post makes sense for someone who slams on their brakes once every 10 minutes and doesn't use them otherwise
>>
>>14726824
Which is really my point. Brembos or other crazy brake upgrade on a strictly street driven car are worthless.
