Been waiting for another wagon thread
Planning on picking this up in the next few days. Figure it's time to try something other than an E39 wagon, and these can be had for cheap (because W8).

Keen on getting a Subaru Legacy/Liberty 2.5L GT but the one i'm looking at has already done 185,000 kms.
Do the engines hold up well after all that mileage (with servicing) or will its life end pretty soon and I should avoid at all costs?
>>14724109
My Legacy GT has over 300,000 on it, I replaced the engine at about 250,000 but that's because the previous owner beat the shit out of it.
>>14723889
Still holding out for a turbo one of these. Mine's in decent enough shape though, and I'll drive it into the ground until i can find an XT.
>>14724139
I heard the outback's were a bit shitter? They hold up well? You looking at getting a XT of the same gen or newer?
Whats /o/s thoughts on the Magnum? I am thinking about picking one up as a DD. My current is a NC miata.
>>14724195
They're heavy but could be worse
>>14724171
Where'd you hear that? Outbacks are excellent in most regards as far as being a perfect daily.
>25-33MPG average in my personal driving (autotragic)
>Holds lots of shit
>Back seats fold down and make the rear cargo area basically into a truck bed with a topper on
>Camping is glorious in it
>Ideal for long road trips
>Maintenance is super easy
>Don't have to jack up the car to change ANY fluids (oil/trans/diffs/coolant/power steering)
>Everything else about the car is dead simple to work on too
At 205k miles, this thing has yet to miss a beat (though I've had it for only 6k of those, so I'm waiting for it to fail somehow)
Honestly, doesn't matter what gen it is for the XT. I just want muh turbo. The H6 would be cool to have, but I'd prefer a turbocharger.

I dont really care about heavy, I just need a bit more practicality and I like the style.
>>14724255
In that case, by all means, whatever floats your boat.
They are kinda cool looking. Like a more practical Charger. Looks like there's be some big blind-spots, but nothing unreasonable
>>14724271
Fuck yea, lets just hope I can find a nice hemi for less then a leg.

Howdy
Digging the amber fogs, they look like projectors. I've been thinking about putting in a pair since my old ones are out of commission.

Just picked up a '96 GT wagon a couple weeks ago. Love it so far. The body is a bit beat up but I'm working on making it look nice again. For the $500 I paid for it, I can't really complain.
>>14724501
They're a retrofit I did about a year ago, the easier way to get projector fogs would be to grab a set of JDM ones off eBay
Personally love the E46 Tourings. They just look so badass in my opinion. I'm 18 and I own an E46 320d touring, it's not winning any races but man it's a comfy ride!
>>14724762
Yeah I've tried projector retrofits before on my other car and it was too much hassle for what it's worth. If I do it I'll just buy a new set of pre-made ones
That, and a new paint job on the front end are my plans for the near future

completely honest here, if I had a shop, I would try to get an HHR Panel Wagon as a shop/delivery car.

>GM copying the already shitty PT Cruiser

good luck, god can't even help you through that purchase
>Legacy wagons are all non-turbo and lolEJseriesengine
>Caprice/Roadmaster wagons in good condition rare
>Pre-2005 Japanese wagons that haven't rusted or been beat to shit? Good luck
I hate crossovers so much

My mom has an '07 with 214k on the clock. I recently checked the oil only to find IT HAD NO FUCKING OIL IN IT! I asked mom how long it had been since she changed it. She said my dad changed it before he DIED IN 2011! This damn car will not die...That's it in front of my GTI.
>>14730106
thats pretty impressive,
sorry to hear about your dad.
