I've been looking for a pre-1994 Saab 900 in my area. I found this and want to know what you guys think. Car is 3-owner and current owner has had for 6 years with maintenance records in his possession going back about 9. Apparently his mechanic suggested he sell it for 3000. Wondering if it's so lowly priced because of some critical flaw or if this tends to be the going price these days. It seems average compares to similar ones on CL, and am contemplating pulling the trigger on this but want to know if you guys think it's worth pursuing.
Guy doesn't seem to be a very good photographer.

Prices vary alot. How bad and where is the rust is a big factor.
At its mileage I might be starting to get worried about the pinion bearing. It will hum under load, it can be fixed, if it fails before being replaced it destroys the entire transmission including the case.
For 1800 I would buy it if it runs fine and doesn't 'hum'
dude i got a '94 9000 Aero for $2k three years ago and still drive it today, no critical flaws either..
that seems way overpriced for a saab with problems, which means you'll be sinking even more into it soon...
My buddy bought a 93 for 450$ and drives it perfectly fine. Body was about 98% solid but syncro are going on it. Got it in ny too
