When I was 16/17 I was looking to buy a car with my own money. Every car I would point out that I might want to buy my mom would shut down immediately. She also would not take me to get my drivers permit even though I had a voucher from driver's ed saying I didn't have to take the written or pay for the driving portion. Time went by the voucher expired and I got tired of the shit. I found the car I wanted and told her I was getting it regardless of what she thought and that I was going to learn to drive in it and get my license. In the end there wasn't anything she could say or do because she wouldn't co-sign for me to get a small loan. My money, my car, my decision.

yes. My TSi even when I have a beater, I basically daily drive because I enjoy driving it. I've put 25k on it in 2 years at 400-500whp stock block stock trans. Never any major issue with it. I just maintain it and I make sure I do stuff right and that my tune is spot on.
My N/t beater talon I've put about 15k on now and I haven't even owned it a year yet. No issues.
