I have a 2001 oldsmobile, I am about to change the oil, I live in Canada (colder climate)
What type of oil should I use?
Full Synthetic 5/30 right?
Also how much in litres please...
I'm not sure if Oldsmobile had 3800's in them but if they do you want 5w30. To be honest a lot of GM cars from that era took 5w30 and I don't think any of them took synthetic.
Go with what GM recommends. Don't put in synthetic if it's not required, you could create oil leaks by doing that

Also if you do have a 3800 it takes exactly 4.3 quarts of oil. I'm not sure what that is in metric, just Google it
I would do high milage oil which is synthetic blend. Uses 5 quarts.
