What's a fair price for my 1997 Ford Mustang? It's got 155k miles but has had all maintenance done on it and new tires. Body, paint and interior is in great condition too, the only bad thing about it is that it's a V6 automatic. Is $3000 asking for too much?
>V6
>auto
>155k
>$3000
I hope this is a joke
>>14711283
I've spent way more on that just getting the engine running in perfect shape
>>14711275
Too expensive. Check your local CL and you'll see that barely go for 2500
>>14711289
doesn't matter
thats like a 1500-2000 car
>>14711450
>V6 mustang with nice paint/wheels/good tires
its worth like 2800-3000 any day
>>14711289
this is the problem with used cars
no matter what you have done to it, even if the tires cost more than the car itself, it's still an used old car
>>14711487
>1500 car
>$500 in tires
either you fags have never sold cars, or you've never made a profit off one
>>14711289
lol your car is worth $2000 max bud.
It's mainly your fault for buying a v6 anyway
>>14711510
we aren't here to support your delusions OP.
You should never buy a car expecting resale, but you should do things to it to keep resale.
Which is, fucking nothing but keeping it un-rusted and in good condition.
BUT. If your car isn't the top of the line of that year, you ain't getting shit.
Sorry buddy. Cars are generally a money pit. Just think about it. Someone bought that mustang for nearly 17k, probably that year. Yet, it's now worth 2k.
Sad shit.
My lincoln towncar originally cost 50k+, I picked it up at 135,000 miles for 1.5k
>>14711533
i'm not OP
also
>muh v6
a GT in the same year/mileage is only worth $800 more on KBB. the problem is using KBB to find the value of this car
nowhere on planet america is a '97 GT mustang on cobra wheels worth only $2000.
just like a '97 v6 mustang is worth more than $1200.
a $1000 car only has to move. $200 doesn't get you clean paint and nice wheels and new tires
you could sell that car for $2000 tomorrow.
>>14711275
you literally have the gayest stock mustang you can buy
>shit year
>smallest engine
>fucking automatic
Does anyone feel bad for guys who own decent running cars, with shit resale? Like they're just too ignorant to get it?
>>14711275
Do a spoiler delete, get coil overs, manual transmission, bullit rims, and turbo. The car instantly becomes much more fun. Also fix differentials for 2wheel burnouts.
>>14711275
Well, you could post the price at $3k, but chances are people are going to try to talk you down to $2.5k to $1.5k, if they call at all.
Not saying you didn't sink a ton of money into it, but, the only people who're probably going to be interested in it are going to be teenagers looking for something that looks fast and sporty, or maybe an older guy looking for a cheap mid-life crisis mobile.
Me, personally? If you get $2.5k out of it, I'd say you're doing good.
>>14711683
>you literally have the gayest stock mustang you can buy
nah
it could be a an early convertible SN95 in yellow
hes close but not quite the gayest
>>14711275
>>14711275
I'm looking at a 1998 automatic v6 Mustang for $1800, you're overpaying.
>>14711275
>$3000 for a V6 automatic
>>14711289
Nobody gives a shit.
