They were great until the mid 90's, before every fucking brand decided to aggressively go world market instead of focusing on the domestic market and exporting as priority AFTER it.
The old cars totally deserve the fame but there's literally nothing of that left in the modern ones. They're completely average now.
They even more resemble Korean cars than European or even German ones.

The S-Class is far from dog shit but it's true technology isn't the most important feature in a car. I'm sure we can all agree that they're overpriced and will lose half their value in 5 years, it still doesn't take away from the car's quality though.
