You don't need a CNC to find a tranny that will bolt to your engine, then fab up a mount to support it. You can get custom shift cables made at NAPA, use a shifter assembly from a similar car, same goes for the clutch. Even easier for a hydraulic clutch.
If you really want something, you'll make it happen.
As for the suspension, find parts from other cars that either swap right in, or with a little convincing.

Then you have to find something that does.
Semi related, the cheap way to modify and XJ Cherokee. Ford Tbird coils to lift the front, Chevy S10 leaf springs to lift the rear. F-250 shocks to allow for travel. Durango steering box for better steering. Brake lines from an S10 so they'll be long enough to work with the lifted suspension. Alternator from a durango as well, so you can supply enough power to all the extra lights and shit involved in offroading.
The message being, none of those are built on the same platform, nor do they share parts, but you can swap them from one to the other to make it perform differently.
It takes a bit of research, but as I said before, if you want something done, you will make it happen.
