Is there a certain mileage point at which you should definitely walk away?
I've been on the fence about a 1988 Corolla:
>315k miles (!!)
>two owners
>second owner put 12k miles on it since buying it from first
>first owner took care of it well and has most of the service records
>no accidents, exterior has no dents or dings, interior in great condition too
>AC doesn't work, needs new radio
>$1000
I've posted about this before in Craigslist thread but I still want more advice desu. I took it for a test drive and it seemed fine. Clutch wasn't perfect but it's got at least another few thousand miles in it.
Should be fine. Just not for $1000.

Unfortunately he's firm at $1000, which he came down from 1200. I don't understand why cars are so damn expensive in California. This, for example, is going for $1100.

If you knew what your were doing on the test drive then i see no reason not to go for it. Its only 1k for a runnint, solid looking-
Oh wait.
>regular corolla
If its a regular ultra shitbox why bother.
