The correct answer is LS430, the best luxury in its class. You can find ones with 80k miles, I recommend getting the 2004+ since it was facelifted and fitted with a better transmission.
Another option is the GS430 but most people do not like the looks of it. There is the IS300 but its a small and a very slow car. The IS250 can also be had under 15k which is a bit more modern but only get it if you're okay with a low torque vehicle.
If you want a sporty car, go for the 98+ SC400 which can be had for 9k or so but they are hard to find.

Honestly an sc300 or gs300 is an awesome turbo platform to build upon. Super/turbo builds on the 1uzfe cars are boutique ish and a kit cost 8500 minimum that's off the shelf non custom setup and sc400 and gs400 aftermarket is like 2 guys in the entire US in their shed making shit to order

This is only true for the second-gen IS. The first-gen was a smell, peppy car. The third-generation is actually great in terms of chassis, suspension, and steering.

As much as love Lexus vehicles, the GS has one of the worst exterior designs (excluding the SC430), they wanted to make it sporty look but failed. Even though when it was released it was the fastest sedan ever made. A great car for a decent sized luxury sedan.

Third gen GS was indeed sexy, it had a strong to look to the body which was a mix of a luxury and power look. Truth is, back then Lexus was not aiming for anything remotely sport, it died out after the SC300/400 but then it got back after the IS-F. Since the whole F-Sport thing now you can find something, even though the new GS doesn't come in coupe the new GS-F is actually extremely good.
