2002 Grand Am, or 2002 Silvia?
Which car, /o/?
>>14701676
>I'm not the only one that thought this
Ha
They are both super shitty cars though
>>14701682
Have you... Have you been in a Grand Am? The interiors are made of melted McDonald's toys/condoms.
You can at least decently modify a Silvia, Ams have 0 aftermarket beyond really ricey shit.
>>14701794
>Ams have 0 aftermarket beyond really ricey shit.
The V6's have some decent aftermarket support.
>>14701806
Don't they come supercharged?
>>14701806
Do they? Is the amount spent compared to what you get out of it worth it though?
>>14701816
wrong engine family.
>>14701821
Well, it's a pushrod V6, but they do take well to mods. The V6 was an iron block, aluminum head 3.4L 3400 with splayed valves. The heads flowed well, and the 60* V angle made it perfectly balanced internally with no need for a power-robbing balance shaft.
There are bolt on turbo kits for it, and there used to be a bolt on supercharger kit for it, but those were unreliable and were killed after a few years.

Huh. Mine was just the pictured shitbox. It was 250 bucks and fubar though.
GRAND AM THREAD?
hit em with the 90s brochure shot
>>14701867
That one has a 3500 3.5L swap (it bolts right in). That picture is actually from a GM Grand Am SEMA concept cars from either 2003 or 2004. The 3500 has a bigger cylinder bore, and better flowing heads and intake manifolds.
These sites are big in the Grand Am scene for performance parts

Sadly it's now tin cans of pork or spaghettios or something, here's my current shitbox. I can wrench on simple shit and figure things out, but you seem pretty well versed on your car stuff Recaros.
>>14701922
I have a PhD in GM Shitboxes.
My grand am is shittiest grand am
I swear the weirdest shit breaks on this car and it makes it such a fucking pain in the ass, however i still oddly like it.
>>14702140
>shittiest Grand Am
Seriously though, if that's yours, it's clean and I like the wheel choice.

>manga bomb
>anthropomorphic dragon
Oh no, it's you again
>>14702165
The car was supposed to be obnoxious, in fact /o/ decided a large amount of what happened to it a few years back.
/o/ has the same demographic as /k/ but without people who make and share jizz brownies at meets.
>>14702160
thanks, I bought it as a first car in highschool, it's been getting me through college just fine. I bought the wheels off tire rack a few years agp and they've held up great in Michigan winters.
>>14702160
looks better with tints.
>>14702191
Personally I'd do a slight lower to kill some gap, and one thing I never liked was the weird trim shapes. We had one in my town that had them smoothed flat all around, looked great.
Then it got misaligned head and tail lights that looked shit and a weird grill, died inside.
>>14702185
I actually browsed /k/ frequently but you fuckers stole me over. I
>>14702200
Looks more like an S15. I wonder if anyone bothered installing an S15 spoiler which I bet someone actually has.
>>14702191
>>14702200
Hang around a few minutes, k?
>>14702201
I wanted to lower it, for the same gap reason, but I just dont have the need to right now, i figured i'd lower it when new struts/springs are needed but they had been replaced right when i got the car. I'll lower it eventually i guess.
The fucking headlights, keeping the seals aligned on the front is fucking impossible

Hope you enjoy.
Someone needs to make a Grand Am front end conversion for a S15 and a S15 front end conversion for a Grand Am
>>14702290
Not the goy that owns it but nice man
Those GM v6s are among some of the most unreliable engines the bow tie has ever produced. Run away!
>>14701885
>I drive a Pontiac and I'm not a douchenozzle
Said no one ever.
>>14701682
t. Sour grapes american
>>14703365
>using the word 'douchenozzle'
>being a fuckin faggot
Pick both buddy
Honestly, I'm surprised nobody else has seen this.
The Genesis Coupe looks like a melted S15 Silvia.
>same swage line running down the side at the same place, only difference on the Genesis is that there is an extra kink inwards
>same greenhouse minus that downwards sloping kink aft of the B-Pillar
>same-shape taillights at the same angle as an S15, albeit with that... downward sloping kink... (again, melted look) towards the rear wheels
>2.0 Turbo 4 Cylinder Engine
>RWD
>6 Speed Manual
>2+2 layout
Nobody else has noticed that this car was a direct rip on the Silvia S15 outside of myself. It was a lot heavier, and certainly more ungainly, but I have little doubt that the S15 was the exact influence for the Genesis.
>one is sexy, turbocharged and rwd
>the other is fat, ugly, and fwd
>>14701682
A Silvia is a million times better than that ugly american thing
>>14703398
I think many noticed but nobody's surprised. The Koreans copy the Japanese auto industry.
also, doesn't it use an old Mitsubishi-derived engine?
>>14703398
After a little photoshop, where I remove the kinks I mentioned and add the door sill line, this is what you get.
>>14703398
>dick windows
>sperm tail lights
wew lad
>>14701676
what the fuck is a grand am...
>>14702290
Nice, I do like the look of the clean bottoms without the trim. Not sure how Mine would look though, I had a shop cut the rust underneath the trim peice and cut it out added new metal. I really have no idea what it looks like under the trim
>>14703494
Why is the image flipped?
>>14701676
Silvia. 100%.
