Need a new car, this car is in my price range. Any comments on the 350z? Are they good or should I keep looking?

Nissan makes junk mang.
Look elsewhere

There stranger some anons here who own 370zs, they might know something about 350zs. Off the top of my head I think some year of these came with an engine that liked to burn oil at high revs but I could be wrong. How many miles?
>>14698268
Unfortunately he didn't post miles, there are similar listing with similar prices at 130-140k miles

VQ35DE Rev-Up models had the oil burn issue. Rev-Up engines were from 2005 Anniversary/Track models to all models in 2006 with the manual trans. After that they introduced the VQ35HR, which is the GOAT engine, in 2007.
Pretty dang reliable cars. I'd be a little worried at that price though. It seems like 03's are still around $7k whenever I see them. Worth a look and a test drive for sure

NADA shows a decent condition car at about that price at 100,000 miles. If you're gonna look at it a bit, see how much you can jew him down depending on miles.

It's hard to find a VQ35 that doesn't burn oil. They should have stuck to the VQ30, that .5L difference in bore is just too much. VQ30 is GOAT

Do you mean the VG30 found in the 300ZX or a different motor? I think for NA the VQ35s are pretty good motors.

A little oil burning is no big deal, i go through a quart or so every 600 miles and it's not too bad financially.
Well thank you guys for your thoughts, will probably buy this car.
>>14698325
Nope, the Super GT 350z's use a VQ30DETT
>>14698363
That sounds pretty sexy Anon. Was it only ever used in Super GT (I'm assuming the 500 class) or was there a production vehicle with that motor setup?
>>14698378
The Y33 and Y34 Nissan Gloria/Cedric, Y33 Leopard, and F50 Cima use a VQ30DET, but no production car ever had a twin turbo VQ30.
Stateside the only cars to come with a VQ30 were the A32 and A33 Maxima/Infiniti I30, and those were NA.
