Hey /o/
I'm normally a pretty in-tune car guy, but when it comes to all matters of practicality sometimes I get a little bit lost

So, I'm going to start working an engineering job soon, and I need a reliable personal transporter to get me to-and-fro cheaply and without incident. I think I'd like a station wagon or hearse like body to so so, something big and roomy with plenty of space in the rear to do what with I need.

I'm thinking of grabbing this 87 lesabre off of craigslist. Is this a bad choice?

I really don't like the new small wagons and tauruses and things, and I also don't want to own a SUV, though I might be forced that way because 30 years is fairly old. Do you think that for 2200 this car could provide reliable daily transport with little needing done?

thanks

I'm not sure that is going to be quite large enough for my needs to move shit around like I usually do.

what's your budget?
90s saturn wagons are really good and pretty reliable for the price
alsoo 90s toyota wagons, i think the corolla and camry came as wagons...?

if you want a v8 boat that sounds awesome with the muffler removed, get a buick roadmaster wagon from the 90s

How about a subie wagon?

Corolla came as a wagon until 1997. Camry until, I think, 1998, maybe sooner.

Anyways, if those dont do it for ya, the GM B-bodies like OP is looking at are just fine.

They're perfectly fine, just don't expect good fuel economy.

Awesome. /o/ recommends them all the time. They're even on the sticky.
