Well, today I hauled home from work a bunch of 8' rebar and some sand and gravel boulders.
Then when I got home I hooked up a small trailer and picked up my woods mower.
Could I have done this with a car? Sure, just not as easy. I could also use my cell phone to hammer nails, but that doesn't mean it's the best tool for the job now does it?
Really strange that trucks are so popular in US and almost non existing in Europe.
Maybe there's just no logic in using trucks for their intended purpose. Most people in Europe I guess wouldn't want to waste their free time on towing cars, boats and hauling shit around. There are quite affordable (eg. cheaply paid jobs) services that will do that for you.

I have an E550 sedan in the US, and I installed the yuro towing package. No reason to get a truck when the car can tow 2100 kg at 62 mph. The only problem are the US spec trailers. They expect a larger tongue weight than the car can take (80 kg) so you have to properly load the trailer.
