I can't help but like the simple lines of the 2005 mustang over that of the 2015. I know the 2015 is a much better car and quicker too but I just feel that the 2005 has a timeless design somewhat like the mustangs of the 60s
Anyone else care to weight in?

Imo the previous generation was the best looking modern version. Now theyre going for the more streamlined jagged look you would find on something like a Z or frs or whatever else, not the big blocked simple lines like a challenger
along with the foxbody they are the top 3 ugliest Mustangs

I was a fan of the 2005-2008 models, but then they jumped back to a design vocabulary more similar to the 2004 models...
The only car that still looks authentic is the Challenger, but it's too boat-y.

Honestly, I was never really into Mustangs until the s550 came out. The 5th gen always looked blocky and simple to me. I only started liking them when the GT500 came out.

I feel the exact opposite. The back is respectable. Nice proportions, not too busy, simple and clean lines.
From the opposite it looks like a plastic Hot Wheels copy of a Down Syndrome facsimile of a xerox'd 1969 Mustang scribbled down by a toddler using crayon

The big plastic guard over the headlights in the early model s197's is tacky as hell looking, the hood is way too short, and the early year tail lights look like something off of a fisher-price toy. Aside from that it's pretty good.

The face-lift with the coyote is the compromise. Still has classic Mustang looks and has the same performance capabilities. I don't like the hood on them, too buldgy but gotta fit that coyote in.
