It's a Daytona Prototype. The Corvette DP in particular is just a 3rd-gen DP with a a Corvette-like body. Underneath it's the same old Riley/Coyote/Dallara chassis after the demise of Pontiac (which badged the GM race motors of some DP cars). The DP category itself was created early-2000s when Grand-Am was seeing that the LMP1/LMP900 category was becoming too fast and unsustainable for smaller, less funded teams to compete (they were eventually proven correct in that assumption).
