It's reliable, not mythically so but it will get from a to b. It's really good on gas and I personally struggle to get less than 34 mpg on my '03. It has plenty of space for friends and textbooks, plus it won't look out of place with the other shitboxes on campus.
Invest in a head unit if you want to listen to your mp3s while you commute
