I'm still driving my first car.
As of today it needs:
a new head gasket, water pump, timing gear, probably a completely new exhaust and some bodywork.
All of that will amount to almost twice the value of the car.
But I'm doing it anyway.

Selling my truck at 3.5k under bluebook despite having better offers at bluebook because the guy is literally a 70 year old hank hill and I know he wont fuck it up.
No regrets, I can sleep easy.
When I traded in my explorer it was in perfect condition, two weeks later saw it on the side of the road damaged on all sides and a huge Samoan guy kicking it. I cried and vowed never again.

I had no regrets about selling it until I saw who it ended up with, and I felt like I failed it as an owner. I still have one of the Fob Keys I told them I 'lost', I'd be lying if the thought of liberating it hadn't crossed my mind a few times, but it's wrong. I just keep the key on a shelf to remind me of the good times.
I blew the engine a little more then three years ago and she still sits in the driveway.
I junked my second car (2002 kia spectra) because it was terrible and falling apart. But I can't part with my Ranger.
