The dvd is useless except for dvd audio. You don't get picture while driving, but the audio plays, and it's Dolby and dts capable. I have one concert dvd I've been meaning to try.
The hard drive is negated by a USB stick and a USB stick is just as fast.
I'd really like hold mode. Especially because I live in Canada. The oil gets milky after a couple weeks in extreme cold because it never gets warm enough to burn it off. I kill my battery once every few weeks just to burn it off, but it would be nice to push hold at the start of a drive, get the interior and motor nice and toasty, then push normal for the rest of the journey. Probably wouldn't even use much more gas. I could always get the erdtt eliminator too.
I love that I plug in at work and have enough battery to get home and back. Electricity is only $.07/kWh here, so I figure I spend less than $4 a month on electricity. Not that I bought it to save on fuel, it's just kind of neat.

It's only 'hybrid' once the battery dies. Gm calls it an extended Range Electric Vehicle. The industry calls it a plug in hybrid, but really, it's in a class of its own in that regard. All the other plug ins still have the same measly batteries. It's kind of pointless paying all that extra to have a plug in, but only getting 12miles of Ev range. The latest volt is 53mi I believe.
