2010 Chrysler 300C SRT8 or 2009 Mercedes-Benz S550?
>>
>>14649306
neither if you can't afford the maintenance desu senpai
>>
This is a really odd comparison.

Do you value luxury or burnouts more?
>>
>>14649306
are you black?
>>
>>14649309
Maintainence is something I've taken into consideration and I shouldn't have a problem with either.

>>14649315

Both

>>14649323
I'm no dindu
>>
300c seems like it'd be more logical, however the interior was made in the tupperware factory
Then there's a 7 y/o s class that's probably about to shit itself
>>
>>14649306
What's your budget? I mean 2012 SRT8s are getting cheap.
>>
>>14649785
Preferably no more than 22 but I night be able to stretch it a bit
>>
>>14649315
I bet the S550 could do as good a burnout
>>
>>14649708
>I'm no dindu
your car choices suggest otherwise. are you sure, have you done a dna test?
>>
>>14649911
It can, and then your air suspension is ded and you owe Karl down at Euro Imports Garage LLC 1200 for parts and 2000 for labor yo fix it.
>>
>>14649931
Prolly slav.

s class no competition
do you want to be a based slav thug or some poor dindu
>>
>>14649306
If you can afford the maintenance, get the S550
>>
>>14649306
S class all the way. It's better built so your interior won't rattle apart, its got the prestige of the Mercedes brand, more options and toys that you can imagine, that engine is excellent and the car is quick.

Chrysler couldn't build a good car if their life depended on it. Don't even consider the 300: its a piece of shit and has always been since its predecessors.
>>
>>14650029
But they have warrantees for that kind of thing
>>
>>14650029
Or you can do it yourself for like $400 a corner
>>
>>14649832
Why don't you get a Lexus LS460? All the luxury of the S Class with none of the drawbacks.
>>
>>14650570
The drawback is it's a Lexus that only the retarded nouveau riche people like.

People with old money will laugh at you as they drive off in their My-bawk S600.
>>
>>14650609
Let those retards laugh all the way to the mechanic. Besides old money don't drive brand new benz's.
>>
>>14649306
S550 100% if you can afford the maintenance.

Though even if you think you can afford it, you probably can't. So don't buy one without a good warranty.
>>
>>14649306
take the merc if you're from yurop
>>
>>14650609
Old money doesn't buy a used S550 or a Chrysler 300c
>>
A srt 8 vs a s550. SRT 8 is the only choice. At least when the 300 breaks you won't have to sell a kidney to fix the fucking thing
>>
Isn't the 300 an E-Class underneath?

So you're basically choosing an Americanized custom E-Class or the real-deal S-Class?
>>
>>14651972
with a 425hp 6.1 hemi over a 380 5.5
>>
>>14649832
$22,000? That's what an '09 S550 is going for? I feel bad for the person that spent $100,000+ when it was new.
>>
>>14649306
One is built by Germans, the other by Americans the Germans sold to Italians.

This is not a hard choice.
>>
>>14652421
The person buying it in 09 is going to spend $20000 fixing it.
>>

Everyone loses.

OP here, originally only wanted to spend $22,000 maximum, but I'm stretching the budget quite a bit to $32,000 and I'm going to wait a few extra months. Right now I'm really leaning toward the 2010 Cadillac CTS-V. Most sources I've read compliment the vehicle on being an absurd powerhouse with a refined look and luxurious characteristics, which is an excellent mix of what I want. The 2012 300C SRT8 as mentioned earlier is now on the table due to this budget change too. Thoughts?
>>
>>14650609
its a extremely large, reliable luxury sedan
>>
>>14650142
$400 a corner would be really good. You're looking at about $550-800 per corner.
>>
>>14652597
I've driven the 300C. It has decent power with the SRT8 engine. The handling is horrible though. Even on highway ramps it felt like a boat and had lots of body roll. The interior felt kinda thrown together. On the plus side, it's super comfy.

A lot has changed since I did some math on my budget. A few weeks ago I only wanted to spend 15. 2006-2008 300C SRT8 was looking like a fantastic option at the time. Then I pushed it a little trying to find a nicer 300C with less miles, nearing 18-19k, then I found a nice S550 for 22k, and am since changing that budget by another $10,000. Gotta sell my truck though, and that's something I didn't want to do so I could have something for winter and summer. Oh well. Looks like I'm going to have to learn how to RWD in winter. Anyways, point being I still absolutely love the 300C SRT8 and it's not out of the question. I'm just yearning for a vehicle with massive power and a sleek look, both the 300 and the Caddy do that, but for the same price and only 2 years older the Caddy provides a better ride and features that are far better than the 300 SRT8. With that said, I think I'll go for the CTS-V over the 300 SRT8 unless I get a great deal on a 300 SRT8, maybe if I got one for $27,000 instead of the $31,000 average and threw a supercharger on it I'd take it over the CTS-V. But that's all speculation.
>>
$500 Canadian was what I remember seeing last a while ago
>>
>>14652680
At that price range may I suggest a Lexus LS460 instead?

This.

Its a muscle car on pillows. Don't expect it to handle well, it's a cruiser, nothing more. But (relatively) it's cheap, reliable, and repairs wont start costing you for quite a few years if you're paying 30k for a 5 year old car.

If you're dead set on the SRT8 for the extra power go for it, but you can probably find a 5.7 with AWD for cheaper, and they're more available. Means winter won't suck as much. Still 360Hp.

>tfw 5.0 with AWD
>>
>>14652751
FWIW, I drove the 5.7L 300C as well and it's not that great. For 360 HP, it really doesn't feel like it due to the weight. It feels more like what 280-300 HP would feel like in a normal car (~3600 lbs).
>>
To the op

is that 300c even a 392 srt8? Or were those the dark days of the 6.1 era?
>>
SRT to impress car guys, Merc for everyone else
>>
>>14649306
You can't afford it anyway, bitchboi.
