I think hondas are kinda built for the idea of them being a traditional tuner platform.

i don't think people necessarily hate cars for that... but you could look at this way.
If you have a $5k civic, and spend $10k on it.
You could have just gotten an s2000 instead.
If you buy a $15k s2000, and spend $10k on it, you could have just gotten a c5 z06 instead.
See where I'm going with this? Dumping money a significant amount of money doesn't really make sense. If you have money, it's almost always better to just sell your vehicle and upgrade to a better one.
Unless it's a car that has properties that a more expensive car can't match.
