Can someone give me the rundown on cams? And the difference between single and dual overhead cams? What are they?

Best cobra to be honest familia
cams are the counter balance for the piston movement. bigger cams means smoother operation and therefore bigger power

cams are what control and synchronize the operation of valves

Was built to compete with the Celica, so of course.
To break it down they're valves that operate in the vacuum line.
The ECU tells them when to close so they stop sucking the valve up in turn letting exhaust gas escape / air from the intake in.
Essentially they're little electronic valves themselves which open and close to suck the valves in the cylinder up or let them down again.
Think of it like when you're vacuuming your car out and your floor mats get stuck to the end of the hose. That's what the cams are doing when they're open.
Is it in fact possible to have a Chevy with a Mopar cam?
are there any triple overhead cam engines?

I'm more of a fan of the DOHV engines, the block is a bit wider since theres two cams in it, but they're pretty great.
