Like every other Honda/Acura product, the s2000 uses the minimal amount of stock power to be a spirited ride as opposed to other car manufacturers. It just needs that magic touch (Mugen,Spoon,Jun,etc.) to reach it's full potential as a competitive car.

I've never driven an MR so who knows, but with the weight being almost 50/50 and the suspension unloading when you lift it can bring the ass out very quickly.
It's pretty skittish in the rain too. If the pavement was wet I could jab the throttle and bring the ass around on demand. It was fun, but not really a safe thing.
I loved my ap1 though, all flaws aside. Best car I've ever owned.

Don't haul ass around corners then lift off the throttle in the middle of it. You have to keep the power consistent or the suspension can unload and cause the spin.
Ap2s are a lot more neutral than the ap1, just make sure your tires aren't bald.
