the main problem with estate cars or stationwagons is everyone and their grannie will at some point call you up and ask you to move shit for them "coz your car has loadsa room".
which is ok if its the pretty blonde from 3 doors down moving to her new flat, but not so good if its Uncle Wullie wanting to move his 3 Rottweilers.
other advantages include throwing an air bed in the back so you can chill the fuck out wherever you are, tossing the bike in so you can try a new trail or hiding the occassional gaffer taped child under a blanket.

Wagons are god tier if you want to go on a road trip for cheap. I've saved thousands of dollars by just sleeping in the back instead of a hotel.
If you actually have friends though a wagon is still a good option because you can fit all your friends and their shit. Basically wagons are god tier for road trips.

One of my favorite car styles. Wish more were available.
They're great multi-purpose cars. I'm in the market for a 90's Roadmaster or Caprice wagon right now for road trips, light towing, and camping. Unfortunately there hasn't been much in my area.
If it's a sedan with no trunk and more space like pic related, then it's cool, bonus points if it's based on a sporty chassis/engine. If it's just a crossover pretending to be a wagon, it's shit.
