Thoughts on the Citroen ZX? IMO it's one of the comfiest fucking things you can buy for cheap.
>>
Not even hydropneumatic. At least get a Xantia.
>>

The ZX looks so much cooler though, and I think it handles better aswell.
>>
>>14635101
I don't think handling has ever been a priority in Citroens.

My uncle had an XM. Fucking magic carpet level shit.

AX Gti and Saxo VTS would like a word.
>>
We had an AX 1.4 Diesel.
Man was that thing lightweight.

Shame the engine crapped out at 48k km
>>
>>14635123
True, but the way citroens drive is just completely different from anything else.
>>

My grandfather had a Saxo VTS.

I was counting down the years until I got my license and he'd give the car to me. Unfortunately he lost control during a corner and hit a concrete lamp post straight on. My grandfather only had a scratch on the nose but the car was a total loss.

That car was awesome and still regret never driving it.

More like citroens used to understand that being comfy does not mean bad handling.

These are the sporty trims so yes they should handle well (more than well, there's a reason why the AX, ZX and saxo's are so popular with amateur rally drivers), the rest... unremarkable.

I had one as a first car years ago. A 1996 ZX Volcane 1.9 TD. 92BHP for +/-1100Kg. Pic related.
It was an awesome little car, very comfy with an electrical sunroof, seats with good position and despiste this, incredibly nervous thanks to the turbo and with an excellent handling thanks to the directional rear axle and the 4 disk brakes. I past countless number of night to drive like a deadman in the little road in my countryside.
This car is also very reliable and easy to fix. You can find whatever you want in every carjunks for almost nothing. And the insurance prices are cheap.
I loved this car.

Agreed. They are very tail happy though, since there's not a whole lot of traction in the rear.

Yes, every roundabout was an occasion to have fun. My front tires never last more than a year.
God, I miss this car. I can't do that anymore with my new car. Everything is way more expensive with it.

It was pretty decent overal. I would even say it did the best on the moose test, having the tightest line when manouvering.

"What the fuck is a transverse engine?"

Well, the french did that too.
>>
>>14637053

The other cars except the MB had transverse engines. Actually Im pretty sure that Audi has a longitudal engine, which creates even more overhang.

Handling is THE priority in Citroens, why do you think they're known for superb ride quality and handling you dolt?
