Been looking at some cars lately, not sure which to get,

Interested in either a 2014 Infiniti Q50 but they are like $25k and the ones on craigslist that are 19-22k are all REBUILT

BMW 328i are also in that price range rebuilt too, and 328i engine sucks

those are the type of cars im interested in, luxury, sport, comfort, 4 door, aesthetics,

what's the best I can get for $20k MAX?
>>
Buy a civic and shut the fuck up
>>
Quattroporte
>>
>>14631957
get an e9x 335i.

tons of power, comfy rid and you wont have to settle for some shitty wrecked one in your price range. Plus you're almost in the price range for the M3 too.
>>
>>14631979
nvm, an e9x M3 would be a shitpile at your price point. 335i's and 535i's are definitely in your range.

How about a 4 door golf GTI? That would be fun or an A3
>>
>>14632006

would it be possible to find one from 2012? since that's when the new models came in, old gen is starting to look dated
>>
>>14632012
No, I was referring to the previous gen. Newer then that is harder to find since with BMW people often lease them then they become CPO cars so it takes some time before they trickle into the used lots.
>>
>>14632037

I see, what about the infiniti?
>>
>>14632012
You can definitely find 2012+ in that price range, just probably not with <50k miles or anything

>>14632012
why do you want the F30? the f30 is kinda bad
a 335is will drive way better than an f30
also
>thinking this looks dated
>>
>>14632110
It doesn't look dated but the f30 is a big change in styling from this car.

>>14632057
well G35 sedans are cheap and plentiful I just have no idea what years you're open to. Newer is probably better because I know Nissan has some bad history with the earlier stuff having oil consumption issues and even some that had cat failures that had catalyst material revert into the cylinders causing engine damage. I don't remember the known bad years but I think the stuff you're interested in it wont apply.
>>
>>14632141
do you actually care much about how a car drives or do you just want something that looks new
>>
>>14632076

could you help me out with some links

>>14632110
2 door looks newer but 4 door does look more dated especially compared to the new one desu

>>14632141
looking for 2014 minimum since that's the new model for the Q50
>>
>>14632153
You're asking the wrong guy
>>
>>14632153

meh let's be serious here almost any car that is 2014+ is nice to drive

not trying to aspire to be a race car driver or anything lol
>>
>>14632255
2014 corolla then
>>
>>14632255
>almost any car that is 2014+ is nice to drive
f30 feels like driving a fucking bangkok whore

e92 is like driving a fresh 18 year old virgin

Yes the f30 looks newer. So just get LEDs for your corona rings. Boom, newer.
>>
>>14632255
why 2014+? Everything after 2010 is shit.
>>
>>14632262

but who was aesthetics, and luxury.

>>14632266

really? i haven't test driven them yet, going to next weekend,

is the difference that big though? BMW dun goofed?

>>14632272

because old cars = more miles = more stress on engine = more worn out interiors = more dated look = more prone to breaking and parts going bad = overall bad experience
>>
>>14632277
well then the answer is 2014 corolla.

Toyota reliability = more care free miles= less stress on your wallet= rugged Toyota interior that will outlast the BMW = modern = good experience.
>>
>>14632277
Why are you so afraid of fixing cars? There are good older cars and there are shit older cars. You have to do your due diligence to weed them out.
>>
>>14632255
>meh let's be serious here almost any car that is 2014+ is nice to drive
You really don't care about driving, then. Get a corolla or a civic. Interiors will be in much better condition and your engine will be able to tolerate more abuse.
>>
>>14632307
>>14632371
again, i care about aesthetics and sport, which toyota's have neither of

cmon man toyota's are ugly as fuck.
>>
>>14632404
I mentioned a Golf GTI earlier. I think those look nice. A Focus ST would be a badass 5 door
>>
>>14632277
>really? i haven't test driven them yet, going to next weekend,
Yes. The steering is very sensitive, disconnected and simulated. It's like playing a racing game with a steering wheel controlled that has totally fucked up sensitivity. Steering simulation varies depending on the speed too. It felt like I was holding on for dear life as any slight shift in direction would send me flying into the other lane. It also felt like I wasn't steering the car at all, but sending a message to a computer telling it to turn. Felt electrical (because it is)
>>
>>14632404
You want 2014+ and nice? 20k isn't enough for that, buddy.

You either:

settle for something older and forever be envious of every Toyota/Honda being better equipped

-OR-

you swallow your pride and buy a good brand like Honda or Toyota and realize that the roundel isn't going to mask your problems in the bedroom. You listed luxury as your #1 requirement so I'm sure you can find a nice top trim car of MY2014 for that price.
>>
>>14632427
not a fan of hatchbacks honestly, they look like girl cars IMO lol

>>14632445

so how much would it take? for say a 2014 used infiniti Q50 sport,

guess ill have to save up more baka

You might be able to find a rental or fleet one with super high mileage. Which is one of the biggest automotive no nos when it comes to buying a used car. The 328i and Q50 are both heavily used as rental cars.

I saw a used Cadillac ATS sell for around $19,000 a couple days ago. I think it was the 2.0T too.

It'll be hard to find a good example of either under 20k though. Just go older, test drive the cars I suggested, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
>>
>>14632756
>14632756

what are your thoughts on say a 2012-13 G37?

what would you say would be a good mileage to get those on, no more than 40k?

thanks for the advice

>2009+ G37
Quick, the engine is nice, the transmission is nice, even the automatic. It's just heavy, and you can feel it's weight when you're driving it - but it's still pleasing to drive. Drinks a lot of fuel though.

2007+ Lexus GS350
Feels quicker than the G37, but the interior is cramped and there isn't a lot of headroom. Otherwise it's a solid car.

2009+ Acura TL
Probably the best middle ground in my opinion. Big interior, big engine, and optional AWD which I would suggest looking into (AWD comes with an even bigger engine). It's fast too, great off the line performance and better fuel economy.

I would look around 50,000-60,000 miles. 99% of G37's go for around $14-$15k with 40-60 thousand miles.

Lexus GS350's goes for around $16-$18k.

Acura TL SH-AWD's are right up at about the $19-$20k mark.

These cars are all out of warranty unless the dealer has an extended warranty - Lexus dealers tend to include a 3 year warranty in their selling price for well taken care of cars.

The 2012+ BMW 328i isn't as smooth as these options in my opinion. It's a really jumpy car because of the 4 cyl. and turbos - which isn't my style. I like linear progression - handles great though.

could you get any more cringe

pls go

Oh look, it's another Elliot Rodger.
>>
>>14632898

Acura would honestly be perfect if it wasn't for the absolutely disgusting exterior and interior. man did they ruin that car.

would prefer 2008 TL Type-S a million times over even the newest one

think i'm going to go with 2012-13 G37, everything you said about it is what i want, only wish i could afford the 2014 since it's the new model,

Thanks a million for the help bro

M3s are a bit out of my price range. Most of the ones i see around here are around 40k. Unless i find one with a shit ton of miles. Which is why I've been looking for a manual 335i but no luck.

G37s are starting to look nice. There seem to be a lot more of them around that are manual.

I already DD a econobox camry so muh empeegess and practicality dont matter.
>>
>>14633427

Check out this video where they compare the G37s vs the 335i. imo get the g37s if you can find it

I couldn't think of a less relevant car than Infiniti and Q50 is no exception. Why? It's got good power, RWD, luxurious enough and less than $30k. I just never heard/read anything about them.
>>
>>14631957
I got my '08 g35 for 16k and it had 63k miles on it.
It's a 3.5L v6 that produces 306 HP
(It has the same motor as the 350z)
