Not in the same industry but if a customer insists on mouthing off and interrupting me I would only do the bare minimum to not lose their business. Fortunately our customers are lovely though, and I enjoy helping them.

I work part time at autozone a few times a month as a driver/parts bitch (active duty military) and was honestly pleasantly surprised. Maybe it's just my particular shop but I've seen us first hand helping people out of some real fucking binds and bending over backwards making miracles to procure emergency parts same day on weekends and holidays and then going out of our way to help dudes in the parking lot beyond the regular battery/windeshieldwipers/air filter easy stuff.

Why is motor oil cheaper and more convenient to get in Walmart then vatozone
>>

This. I used to work at autozone for a couple years and I give them business whenever I can, but I don't like being at the mercy of oil change specials. Amazon for filters and Walmart for oil is the way to go

I don't shop anywhere else because of that guy.

theres a guy at my advanced auto that i always dick around with when i go, otherwise id buy everything somewhere else. the autozone guy is weird "youre definitely not getting a 1935 nickle" like i dont fucking care just give me the change nigga. then he had brand new $5 bills and they were so crisp, i wanted to feel their crispiness but the cocksucker balled them up right in front of me? "these new bills stick together" i think he just wanted to crumplee the new bills. on the other hand i went to advanced and the guy was getting the filter for the oil special and he couldn't find the right one and he said "we can sacrifice a few inches right?" then i made a breddy gud joke about having a small dick

God damn I hated when lazy niggers wanted me to install their wipers. Especially when they can see how crazy busy we are. I would go out and try to do it as fast as I could to make them feel stupid. Another time I asked a dude to wait 5 minutes so I could clear out the line at the register, and he complained about how it was taking too long and I told him that I would refund him the installation fee if he liked. He got butthurt and left.
>>
>>14629571
Every time one asked for the install I had to hold back from asking why their wife let them out of the house if they're so useless. After a while the manager(female) started asking the female employees to do the installs for maximum cuckness
>>
>>14629304

Wait is there supposed to be a fee for wiper installation? When I bought wipers for the first time I made a joke about seeing how long it was going to take me to figure out how to install them and the guy just showed me how to install them free of charge.

There at the parts store. No seriously if they need help or parts they go inside and ask for help. And even tools. They ran a extension chord to a guy car only so he can use the store electric mpact.
>>
>>14630401

You're full of shit. How did he get the car there with a dead battery?
>>
>>14633491
I would do this in case I forget to buy something. I wouldn't want to put my car back together just to go get a part or tool and then drive it back and take it apart again.

Also, most apartment complexes explicitly forbid any automechanic work on the property.

One of the cool things about auto parts stores are that you are allowed (and encouraged?) to work on your car in the parking lot.

Roadkill based an episode off of this where they did an engine swap in the parking lot.

>>
I walked into an Autozone the other day and immediately recognized the tense atmosphere. There was a line four deep with some milf at the front. She was giving the dude behind the counter the business. He had a mowhawk, the dead eyes, and didn't do a thing to soothe her ruffled feathers.

>You told me this would fit my car
>Ma'am, I just sold you what you asked for
>Are you retarded or something?
>Yeah.
>Wh...asshole
>Maybe you'll do better at NAPA down the street

She storms off towards the door calling him every name in the book. She cocks back and hurls a giant fucking bolt at him, nearly hits him in the face. She storms off to the exit, then stops, turns around, and walks back to the counter. We brace for her to flip her shit and instead she calmly says, "Can I please have my bolt back." And he fucking gave it to her.

They didn't have my part so I headed over to NAPA, who did I see in the parking lot but the psychopath. I walked in before she got out of her car, went to the counter, and told the dude that the lady about to come in just assaulted some guy in Autozone, and I hoped he was on his game today.

I wish I could say she did some kind of spinning tornado move while double fisting wrenches and I had to put knee to neck, but she was quiet pleasant while I was there.
>>
>>14633244
Yes.... Helping every customer until they are satisfied with your service is a policy held by autozone. We don't however have a policy on catering to spoiled bitches that can't hang on a minute, an think they're more important than everyone else. And I know god damn well I told you it'd be just a bit before I could get to you. If it's that much of an issue, look up your own parts and go get them. If you can't figure out how to use ZNET, you have NO business working on a car.
>>
>>14633413
There doesn't exist an autozone that hires at minimum wage.
>>
>>14633842
Either they just don't like you as a person, or maybe they have thousands of people looking for the same job, before you. Or the hiring manager may think too much of you. If you have HVAC cert, you're too qualified for that job, and could make tons more somewhere else, so he doesn't want to waste your time with a parts-guy job. Or maybe you're a prick, and they know it, so they don't want to deal with you on the day-to-day.
>>
>>14634230
It was at least 15 minutes bruv. No exaggeration. Cut the specious deflection.
But at least that answers my question when you filter your bullshit out. Apparently it's autozone policy to chase customers with product in hand waiting to pay away so you can hock a sale that may not even be final. Clearly that's worth leaving the registers fallow for half an hour.
>>
>>14634394
Yeah, we're real concerned about you and your little trees.

How does it feel knowing the retards that don't know what a brake pad is, are more important than you?

And yeah, pretend like your business matters, we're the walmart of car parts.

You think you and a couple other know-nothing faggots are going to take down the zone by going out to the parking lot, then coming straight back because you know no one else has what you're looking for? In case you didn't know, autozone is the largest parts retailer in the fucking world. You're not taking anything away by going to advance once or twice because you're a sissy, we'll still be here waiting with that knowing glare that you tried everywhere else, and we're the only ones that have what you need.

I worked at autozone in between jobs a year back.

>Cant tell me if its manual or automatic.

>No others in stock, cant order more.
>Call competitor stores to see if they have it.
>No one besides us even offers it.
>I tell them to file down the imperfections and it should work.
>I can see it in their eyes. They didnt understand a fucking thing I said.

2 Days Later:

>Same guys apparently came back angry as shit

I think advanced mishandled the buyout of carquest.

Carquest was once a great retailer with knowledgeable staff and often times even a machine shop in the back similar to Napa, but all of the good carquest staff jumped ship and tknow they're just an advanced auto shell.

Napa is literally the only consumer parts place even worth going to. They're still franchised with independent owners who know and care about the auto industry. Some even still have full service shops with experienced staff who have been around cars for decades.

Advanced auto, autozone, oreileys, etc. are really terrible because 99% of the time the cashier will know less about cars and car parts than you. Not only that but the stupid motherfuckers will sell you the wrong parts over half of the time.

This isn't to say that they're just shitty businesses in general, but it's really sad that they can't employ a competent workforce because none of them are willing to offer competitive wages.

>My question is were what the two employees did in line with corporate policy or were they just tards?
100% Corporate policy.
