Does Japan prefer manuals or automatics?
Automatic
They buy more (new) automatics than Americans do per-capita.
Source: lived in Okinawa, Yokohama, and Osaka.
Probably the same everywheres automatic is just a conveince but driving manual is the most fun

>buy more automatics than Americans do per capita
Disgusting

>probably the same everywhere
America/Canada buys automatic commuter cars and manual performance cars, while the situation is reversed in Europe
Europe is the only place in the world where manuals still reign supreme.
Excluding third world shitholes of course.

Japanese don't live on base.
There's no "automatics or manual" question to be asked.
The only manuals for sale are sports/enthusiast cars. EVERYTHING else is CVT or some 17 speed flappy paddle auto.
The question should be "do they sell manuals in non-sports or enthusiast cars in Japan?"
The answer is yes, but only commercial vehicles or offroaders.

Like he said: Excluding third world shitholes.
When it started happening, it happened quickly.

>murrica not in the same third world shit tier
Just how delusional can you be?

Manuals, but because of the cramped roads and increasing laziness they are buying more CVTs and Sami-autos, luckily actual autos are almost dead.

>Japanese don't live on base.
Why in the world would you assume servicemen and women ONLY live on base or never leave the bases? I was stationed at Kadena AFB and left base and partied, ate, and watched movies, shopped, etc nearly everyday.
