2005 Dodge Ram 1500
4.7L magnum
Rear wheel drive
Suddenly lost vroom. As if running out of gasoline. Died won't start.
>what's the most likely issue?
It's American.
>>14618683
Probably the transmission, my 2500 with the 5.9L Mag did the same thing. It was the solenoids, and it left me stranded in a left turn lane.
>>14618703
If it were the transmission, it should still start when in park or neutral right?
>>14618715
Mine didn't the solenoids were dead and it was technically stuck in gear.
>>14618683
Check for fuel, air, compression.
Does it crank and turn over or does it just click?
>>14619026
Cranks but no vroom, not chugging. Just cranking running battery down
>>14618985
That's not how auto transmissions work
The coil drivers have probably shit the bed. A fairly common issue in Chrysler vehicles from that time period.
>>14619301
fuel pump
clogged fuel filter
something in the ignition system
bump!
my sister has this same issue on her '04 mega cab texas edition
>>14618990
what about SPARK?
>>14619915
what would cause all spark to stop mid trip?
>>14618683
>Chrysler
the things dead
move on and don't buy Chrysler crap again
Coil may had taken a shit
>>14618695
What is fiat ?
>4.7
>>14619950
The coil. V8s in general like to tax their coils not just Chryslers. Otherwise though you covered everything in >>14618990 though.
