Why are there no reasonably electric/hybrid cars? Why do I have to chose between German pseudo hybrids that run out of power after 5 miles, North American luxury sedans that cost more than 5 apartments in lower Manhattan and Asian imports that scream 'I like long big dicks in my ass' aka the Prius or the Leaf?

because batteries are still expensive look for used chevy volts

alternatively; get a cadillac ELR because it's just a volt but way comfier

Flat battery cycles, do you speak it

You’re contradicting yourself – they do exist. If you don’t like them, get an electric Focus, 500, or Golf. Or a Volt.
>>
>>14616879
more like the other way round
americucks only get rebadged opel, opel is the best german car manufacturere
>>
>>14616942
It goes both ways, and sometimes it's hard to even figure out where something was developed. The Volt was sold in North America a year earlier than in Europe which leads to the assumption that it was developed there.
>>
>>14616942
>the volt was developed entirely within the gm R&D centers in detroit
it's a rebadged chevy

>>
>>14617054
But then again, Opel Mokka isn't really a German Opel.

Speaking of which, how good is the new Astra K?

naja vielleicht weil Traktoren auch Diesel sind? :^)

>>14617134
I don't know about the Astra but a friend of mine has a base model Corsa and rapes that thing to death, like seriously, revs it into redline right after starting it up, handbrake turns aeverywhere, way to many watt speakers installed and that shit is still going strong except for that the brakepads need replacing the whole time (obviously if you always go from 0-90-0 in less than 30 seconds all the time)
and one tube once lost the connection in the engine and made everythign full with oil, but that was actually a common issue for these generation Corsas
>>
>>14617172
>naja vielleicht weil Traktoren auch Diesel sind? :^)
Nein, ernsthaft.
>>
>>14617134
J's were glittered shit. Friend has one and that's his opinion. hundreds of annoying issues and visits at dealership. Bought new.
>>
>>14617172

>>
So how long until battery tech is good enough that an electric car could feasibly replace a gas powered one and not go like 100 miles before needing several hours of charging?
>>
>>14617477
Not going to happen before 2050, we must run out of oil first
