The common issues and the cost of maintenance, and over all the quality
The good news is they used 4.0 Rover V8s in a lot of stuff, bad news is cost of maintenance.
it's not as unreliable as the newer models

>▶ It's really a good price for this truck? cause many of this on Craigslist are up of 5000$ *The truck doesn't show mileage

>up of 5000$
oh well then you're fucked because i doubt you americans have lots of british spare parts for older land rovers
also anything over said price is getting you ripped off, but then it's the us so i wouldn't know
>>14592634
>common issues
The rear lift gates rot out and the Rover V8's like to blow head gaskets at ~130-150k miles.
It's the best damn truck you will have off road.

Go read on a LR forum. They know better than we do.

>no bed
>truck
fucking americans
>>14595830
not just americans, any of the colonies will call it a truck
>>14592664
>it's not as unreliable as the newer models
It's not an outright shitbox as newer ones but it still does have reliability issues.
>>14595830
American here. I have never met anyone who called an SUV a truck.

well that's a relief

Old RRs break as much as new ones, the only difference is that you can fix way more with a wrench kit and a multimeter.

>need to know how this beautiful truck moves
behind a tow truck
>>14592568
Spare parts are insanely expensive.
Brits never got the hang of keeping oil inside the engine.
Electrical issues, but not as bad as discovery series.

This is what I did, convinced me not to ever buy a RR.

>I have never met anyone who called an SUV a truck
Depends, I consider my '98 explorer 5.0 a truck since it literally built on a truck frame and has the exact same components as a truck. Heavy duty trans, V8, suspension.. etc...
Some SUV's like escapes obviously arnt though.

what about defenders tho? Even the military uses them here.
>>14595830
Canadian here, we don't call SUVs trucks either.
