Times changed and styles evolve. The "Then" doesnt even look too bad if those awful decals were taken off. Modded cars are just more tame now. Extreme bodykits, neon and awful decals are mostly gone. I wouldn't mind if people were still creative. All i see now is stance and the occasional plastidip. Back Then you'd see a lot more experimentation good and bad.

At least their modern stuff is actually functional stuff that's designed by actual engineers with CFD modelling software and stuff. They've come a long way in the last couple of decades.
(I actually know APR pretty well, used to work on a race car sponsored by them and they prototyped all of their 991 GT3 stuff on my friend's car.)

The guy who curated cars for the first three movies didn't work on FnF4. He always hated the ugly vinyls but the studio execs thought the cars looked too 'plain' without them and it was their money in the end.
Funnily enough, the producers found that guy by going to a Jap car meet. He was the only white guy there so they approached him. The Supra was originally his, though the studio added that hideous gladiator sticker for the movie. He removed it but the next owner stuck a replica back on when he sold the car.

Yes, I think the S900 kit looks nice especially in blue. Not sure why people think I was trolling with the Veilside kit. I like the Top Secret widebody as well. I never cared for the looks of the stock Supra and always preferred the R33 and R34 when it came to stock Japanese 2+2 cars. Bodykits on Supras look nice, but not Skylines imo.
