I know this isnt supposed to be the point of the car, but why doesn't mazda offer a miata with more power? Like significantly more? 200+hp
All the miata vs brz threads would be gone but of course /o/ will find some other shit to compare it to.
You cant watch a miata review without someone accepting that there isnt enough power or that it needs some more. Why not just add the option to have more without mods?

It's still faster than what most people are comfortable with, seeing as the average car is a midsize 4 cylinder sedan or crossover, or a lumbering SUV. The whole point is that the Miata is a two seater roadster, which is not what most average joes and janes look for in a car. So they make it as enjoyable and savory and fun as possible while also making it as non-threatening as possible. If the Miata had too much power, it would scare away customers that just want a fun, easygoing, affordable convertable sports car.

Plus, RWD, too much power, and an inexperienced driver means accidents in inclimate weather and other low grip driving conditions
