Mfw i never change my oil, i just let the oil leak take care of it and then fill it up when its low
>>
>>14461447
I actually know people that do this. Their 94 Camry that has 200K+ miles, and the only thing they do is top up the oil once a week since it eats through the rest of it.
>>
>>14461468

Im running 190k on the 3g eclipse I'm currently doing this on

My shocks are completely empty and my springs are sagging, feels bad man. Guess my car is stancing it's self.

About once every 2 months I'll realize I need to change them, and then not have to worry about it for 2 months.
>>
>>14461427

I've been changing my oil for nine hours.
>>
>>14461655
OP here, that's actually how I remembered that I ran out of wiper fluid, since the morning mist looked like shit with my wipers and when I tried the fluid I remembered I didn't have any.

I'll just buy it this weekend.

Meanwhile my 190k mile BMW doesn't lose a dipstick measurable amount of oil in 5k miles.
Tell me more about the wonders of Nippon engineering.
>>
>>14462296
Tripfag logic:
My bimmer doesn't burn oil
The only logocal conclusion is that this somehow makes the Japanese bad at engineering

Should probably grind down my rust-affected areas to make it look "ok" again, but at this point I just don't see the point of spending the time or money. I'm either going to replace the doors and other parts of metal affected before I sell it, or just sell it for a bit cheaper

I drove 3000 kilometers with a blown head gasket.

Transmission mount has been bad for longer than I care to admit
Turn signal/high beam combo switch is janky, moving lever to high beams sometimes shuts the headlights completely off.. been that way for a year or so
It's been about 20k miles since I had my tires balanced and rotated. They're 35" mud tires weighing 60 lbs each, the balance is so far off it shakes the vehicle side to side around 45 mph
Wiring for fog lights has a short somewhere.. haven't gone looking for it
Amp for stereo got wet and fried.. a year and a half ago. No stereo since then.
Wiper blades are falling apart
Windshield has been cracked top to bottom for 2 years

For what it's worth, I've just been riding my motorcycle every possible chance for the last two years and am saving to buy a better vehicle rather than fix what's wrong with that shit box.
>>
Still haven't changed my oil
It's been almost 7,000 miles

I need to do my headgaskets. It was fine until about 400 miles ago (175,200mi) and it suuddenly started using a metric fuckton of coolant. I go through a bottle every 3-4 days now, but unfortunately with school and a job I literally have zero time to do it, I have to drive it every day. Gonna have to wait until spring break and just keep dumping coolant into it until then.

It's strange that it's lasted this long without needing them though, they usually pop by 130k.

I also need to replace my clutch hose, which I actually have been putting off. I'll probably just end up doing it while the engine's out since it'll easier to get to it.

If I lived in Austin I'd help you, or if you think it would make it to laredo I'll help you, haha
>>
>>14462296
It's not a BMW if it isn't leaking oil
>>
>>14466656
Nah, it won't make it to Laredo, I wish though. I think they blew on the way to that Houston /o/ meet on Jan 16th, which is when it started using a shitton of coolant. I got about 15 miles from Katy and it started overheating, so I had to turn around in case it didn't have enough life left to make it all the way back to Austin.

>>14466639
I already said I literally have zero time to do it until spring break, and I don't have another car I can drive to school. I'm tired of dumping coolant into it but I just don't have time to pull the engine out any day of the week since I work and go to school every day. No days off from both at once. It still runs fine, there's no coolant in the oil/vice versa, it just burns a lot of it. As long as it has coolant in it, it'll be fine.
>>
>>14461427
Bro I fucking stood 9 months without that shit and thought I was gonna die that one time I was next to a truck with no vision and roads narrowing and curving. had to stick my head out the window. that was the last straw.
>>
>>14466671

my door is falling apart again
headliner is still sagging
my muffler fell off, but i like the sound better, literally have the pipe just hanging
running without my o2 sensor unplugged to avoid car running like shit for some reason

>>

One of my cars has two blown woofers I'm slowing getting around to finding replacements for. The oil in my bike is waaay past due. Its winter and I'm too lazy to put a cover on it half the time. My other car the tranny started to grind so I parked it a year ago and now the battery is dead.
