How can I get the seat belt warning beeping to stop on a 2012 Lancer?

>inb4 wear your seatbelt

Also is there a way to make the doors automatically lock when I get inside and start driving or start the car?
>>
>>14447406
Wear a seatbelt. Your insurance company will thank you.
>>
>>14447410
There is no point to wear one when you are doing 20mph for 200ft. I wear it pretty often but not on short trips under 40mph
>>
There is no way to stop the dinging unless you cut a seat belt clip out of another car and use that, and no there is not a way to auto lock the doors

All you have to do is turn the key to on, clip and unclip the driver seat belt 20 times in 30 seconds, turn it off, wait 10 seconds, and turn the engine on.

Wear you seatbelt, faggot.

Give me your reasons why you don't wear your seatbelt and I will carefully tell you how you're wrong.

Sometimes you can code that shit out, check lancer forums.

Probably easier to stop being an edgelord and just put your seatbelt on, it literally costs you nothing.

I don't like putting them on
I don't like feeding them back and repositioning them.
I don't like the feel of some of them
In three of my cars the seatbelt is mounted so far back it's really a pain to reach them. It's not a casual movement at all.

In the time after highschool I would say over 60% of my friends stopped wearing seatbelts impulsively.
Males tend to fall out of love with seatbelts much more often than females in my experience.

Some people fail to realize engineers spent so much time designing these things to save your life, and people don't wear them because they don't like the way it feels.

It's a free country so I can't stop them. You never know, a seatbelt might save your life one day
>>

HA HA GOTTEM.

In some it fades faster than in others.

Putting on a seatbelt takes all of three seconds. If I ever see you in a gm thread chanting "90 CENTS" I will find u
>>

So might a kevlar vest or a full face helmet.
Or fire retardant clothing.
Hell I doubt you even wear basic eye protection while driving how are you going to feel when becky t bones you and your lose your left eye due to your negligence?
>>
How can I make my engine start without plugging in my seatbelt?

2016 Ford btw

Also is there a way I can make my car go faster than the speed limit? The computer keeps slowing the car down because it uses GPS or something to tell the speed limit.
>>
>>14448281
I don't know what 90 cents refers to.
If it's something to do with the ignition failures then you'll never see me shaming GM.
You can't buy a used car and expect nothing to ever wear out ever.

>>14448273
The engineering god ideology.
Sort of like the scientist god ideology.
From the outside looking in you're told how far beyond your ability and understanding what they do is and how perfect what they do is.
But once you start digging you see it all shattered. Seatbelt design and technology is not complicated or advanced.

Well you didn't list reasons really, just half-assed excuses equaling to laziness.

There's plenty of room to debate on the overall effectiveness of seat belts (even if the evidence is overwhelmingly pro-seat belt wear), but this bullshit you spouted about being too lazy to put them on or bitching about the mounting position just makes you plain stupid. It's one step below the "muh freedums why is it a law im such a rebel xD" view.

easiest way to lock the car would be to hit the lock button on the key fob, or just lock it manually by hitting the door lock.

>deaths from accidental gun shots per year: 606
>deaths from house fires per year: 2,650
>deaths from car accidents per year: 1.3 million

You are quite a bit more likely to die in a car compared to a fire or being shot. Therefore wearing a seatbelt is over 10,000 times more likely to save your life compared to wearing a fire retardant suit or wearing a kevlar vest.

My bad, read the numbers wrong. Good catch. However, my point still stands. Let's say the average amount of fatalities for car crashes is 30,000 a year.

>you are 49 times more likely to die in a car crash than being shot
>you are 11 times more likely to die in a car crash than to die in a house fire

Now let's go back to my original figure of 3 million car crashes. Sure, not all crashes are fatal but let's take in to account that you can get hurt in a car accident and live. Let's say out of all the car crashes that happen per year in the united States, 500k of those involved had to be treated for injuries after the accident

>you are 825 times more likely to be seriously hurt in a car crash than you are being accidentally shot
>you are 188 times more likely to be seriously hurt in a car crash than you are to die in a house fire

Why would you knowingly endanger yourself when you could take 5 seconds to potentially save yourself a lot of trouble in the future?

Here's some more skewed stats
>32,719 car crash deaths in 2013 in the US
>33,169 firearm deaths in 2013 in the US
You're more likely to die by gunfire in the US than by auto crash.
But you're not wearing at least a kevlar vest?
Come on it takes two seconds man.

You're weighing your risks in every situation just like all of us.
Some people choose to worry too much about some things and not enough about other things.
You're not "right" about thinking wearing a seatbelt is important.

Actually, I goofed with that comment: 'pro-seat belt wear' really implies wearing a belt in a fashion which agrees with or favours seats.

>>
>>14448425
Okay, out of all of those 33,169 involved in firearm deaths, how many of them are accidental?

We are talking about accidents here. No one wants to get into a car wreck on purpose. Also, where do all those gun fatalities occur?

It's safe to assume the majority of car crashes happen on the road, whereas there are many variables when it comes to guns. A few examples would be in a bad neighborhood, a kid messing around with their parents gun, getting robbed at gunpoint, etc.

I would also like to point out that the possible gun scenarios I listed are situations you would most likely not find yourself in, compared to driving your car on the road nearly every day.
>>
>>14448398
>accidentally shot
505 in 2013.
Cool stat.
Meanwhile 11,208 firearm homicides and 84,258 non-fatal injuries. Plus the 505 + 281 unknowns
Also it's seemingly impossible to find out how many individual car crashes happen a year in the US.
But they say it's an "estimated 3.8 million in 2013". You could speculate an average passenger count to reduce that number to get a figure for crashes involving injuries but I don't see the point.
We both know I was just being an ass.

No hard feelings.

My chrysler has toggleable options where it locks the doors automatically once you go past 24km/h. It's nice really, but don't see the point of it
>>
>>14448514
Locked doors are less likely to open in case of an accident.
>>
>>14447417
You realize low speed accidents can also be fatal, not to mention you'll get a ticket and feel like a retard for not putting it on in the first place, that being said my passenger seatbelt warning goes off when I have something with a tiny bit of weight in the seat and how the fuck do I stop that

Short the seat belt connector so it thinks the seat belt is always on. It's not even that hard m8. see this connector, just put a paperclip between the two wires.
Enjoy your death with the airbag goes off and you fly through the windshield.
