Help me /o/.

I am buying a new car. It's a toss up between an '04 Cobra, or a 2013 5.0

They both cost the same, and have just about equal mileage. Insurance will run me only $100 a month less on the termi. Both bone stock.

I have never been more conflicted in my life.

FIVE-OH.
>>
>>14447128
Why would you ever want a not supercharger when you could have a supercharger
>>
>>14447142
The N/A coyote puts more power to the pavement than the supercharged 4.6
>>
>>14447144
But does it have a supercharger?
>>
$100 a month is a lot and the Coyote can be boosted further with bolt-ons i.e. no additional plumbing required. For the same mileage the answer seems obvious.
>>
>>14447128
You want the 2013 Coyote. Have you seen the interior of the Cobra? It's pretty fucking terrible.
>>
>>14447310
>buying a performance car for the interior

Buy an AMG then, not a mustang.
>>
>>14447328
You're fucking stupid, you make no sense. The 2013 Mustang is a better performance car and the interior is better. The Cobra is weaker in every way and to top it off the interior is worse than Subaru tier. Suck a fucking dick you dumb shit. The equally

Buy the fucking 5.0. Save up, in a year you can buy a shitty V8 SN95 cash and supercharge it yourself. Don't ever rely on your toy car, DD something reliable.
>>
Get the termi so you can shitpost harder than 99% of /o/
>>
The Terminator looks really good, but tbqhwyf you should probably get the 5.0 if it's gonna be a dd
>>
>>14447144
But that's wrong, and the S/C 4.6L puts down a lot more torque to the pavement as well.
>>
>>14447128

DD? Can you deal with cobra interior?

The 5.0 is the better stock vehicle but lol pulley swap and tune and you're at 450 whp at least on the termi for less than $1000. The cobra sounds WAY better too and this is coming from someone who has the best sounding "coyote" made, boss 302. I've owned both a termi and a 2011 5.0 and I'd keep the cobra.
>>
you guys are pussies, get the termi, itd be a fine dd.
>>
I would go with the 2013. The SN95 is filled with so much cheap plastic. Atleast the 2013 will have a plastic interior that isn't a decade old.
>>
>>14448553
>a decade old.
SN-95 interior debuted 22 years ago Anon.
>>
>>14447207
This is the dumbest post I've read today, congrats
What makes you think "more plumbing" is required in a car that came from the factory supercharged? You can make more power with less money if you get the Termi
>>
>>14447128
>Insurance will run me only $100 a month less on the termi
wait how much are you paying for insurance OP?
>>
>>14448975
$250 a month for the termi
$350 for the 5.0

$500k/$1M
>>
>>14447128
Go with the 5.0 OP.

It's inherently more reliable due to not being more than a decade old, and while I love everything about the cobra, the interior is probably the worst in any car at any point in time since the Model T. Plus, and I don't know this is of any value to you, but people will have a better first impression if you drive a newer car.
>>
>>14449054
Oh my fucking lord. How young are you? Do you have shit loads of tickets? Don't buy either until you're old enough to drive.
>>

alright op ill give your bitch ass some good answers.

Pros of the Termi:
>irs
>lower insurance rates
>forged internals (bottom end up to 750 HP without even worrying to much, Block 1000+HP)
>t56 manual
>easy to make well over 500whp becasue it already has a supercharger, which can be further ported for more boost w/ lower heat.
>will continue to rise in value, as it was the LAST SVT cobra, seriously imagine holding on to this car for 10 more years.
>instant respekt from lesser mustang drivers because cobra
termi cons:
>dated sn-95 chases
>over 10 years old
>interior (bad but not THAT bad, see toyota echo)
> early models have an issue with cooling a certain cylinder.
>even with tasteful appearance mods, normies will only see a 12 year old car.

2013 5.0 pros
> "limp home" feature that limits engine power and changing timing if engine senses there is a serious issue.
>more modern engine that is more efficient.
> modern safety features
>looks if you are into more retro things
> 5.0 has a lot of N/A potential
>cost of car will continue to fall as newer GTs come out.
5.0 Cons:
>non forged internals (can still handle a decent bump in power)
>mt-82 transmission can sometimes be prone to problems.
> stock shiftier is crappy
> after market parts are still slightly more expensive than for cobra.
> quiet from factory
>will not retain value over time as well
> electric steering (can be pro or con depending on who you are)

In conclusion id say go with the termi, because you can sell it for equal to what you got it for if not more, it already has a fucking supercharger, you can more cheaply get 100 more HP out of, it if not more, and also its the fucking terminator cobra, seriously how many termis do you see on the road?

>>
>>14447128
I would trade my terminator in a heartbeat for a 13 or 14 gt. It's just an all around nicer car while having very similar performance. Not only that, but cobra parts aren't exactly cheap and they're starting to be discontinued.

There's not a whole lot of incentive to retool a manufacturing facility to produce parts for an older rather rare car.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but i found one of these for sale locally at an affordable price

besides the piss poor gas mileage and interior quality, why shouldnt i buy it?

I love me some whining burnout queens.

Forget about towing anything more than an ATV/motorbike

Guy I know had one back when they were nearly new and god damn it went through engines. After engine number 5 he pretty much quit driving it after getting an SRT8 Challenger.

Payload is enough to haul your mom and towing capacity is enough to tow your mobile home.

Cool. Most don't.

Limited slip differential has been standard equipment on most vehicles for 3 decades.

Cobra unless you have a ton of money to turbo the 5.0. The cobra will also hold its value much much better. Get the cobra.

Where did OP mention an automatic v6 base model mustang?
>>

>B-but it has white gauges!
So much difference there. The seats are the only thing that is good about the cobra interior and even then they're tailored to fatties. The rest is complete trash.
>>
>>14451661
The seats aren't tailored to anybody they're completely adjustable even the side bolsters.

How many accidents and speeding tickets have you gotten? Are you a felon?

An ex gf had an 03 gt I drove sometimes. Worst rattles and creaks I've ever heard came from that plastic dash. There was ALWAYS something squeaking.

I hate the explorer steering wheel on the new edge mustangs more than anything

Has anyone put a steering wheel from a newer mustang in one?
>>
I have a 2016 GT with catback/tune and it's great, my roommate used to have a 2003 Cobra w/ boltons and it was significantly faster/funner. The interior and comfort is much better with my car though, tough choice you have there!
