Diesel engines are torquier by design. The turbo just makes it more efficient and gives it extra torque/power. They don't really run a fuckton of boost stock.

I have a 2014 3.2 Ford Ranger 5 pot. It has enough torque to pull b'ham palace. Sits at 80mph no problem too. I do wish it had locking diffs all round, but you cant have it all. Still beastly enough to keep up with the Wife's 110 in Scotland during winter.
